Andrew Cruse, Fellow of the Personal Financial Society, BA, Affiliate of STEP & Chartered Financial Planner

After completing my degree at Stirling University in 1998, I began my financial career with Alliance & Leicester, moving to Halifax Financial Services in 2003. I then progressed into Wealth Management with the Bank of Scotland where I remained for a period of six years until I was invited to join St. James's Place as a Partner Practice in 2010. In 2015, due to my extensive wealth management experience and expertise in all areas of financial planning, Cruse Wealth Management was appointed a Senior Partner Practice.

I am extremely pleased to hold the Chartered Planner Qualification, the most widely accepted ‘gold standard’ qualification available for professional Financial Planners/Advisers in the United Kingdom and universally regarded as the premier qualification for those working in the Financial Industry. I am also honoured to hold the FPFS (Fellow of The Personal Finance Society), one of the most prestigious titles in UK Financial Planning and the highest designation awarded by the PFS. Gaining the Fellowship has been the proudest moment in my career to date. Currently, I am studying for a Master’s Degree in Wealth Management at the University of Loughborough.

I like to be honest, professional and transparent with all my clients and I believe in building strong, long-term relationships and conducting regular reviews to take account of any change in circumstances. The volume of referrals I receive each year, both from my clients and professional connections in the local area, is testament to the success of this approach.

When not working, I enjoy spending time with my wife, Lynne and three children, Kaila, Andrew and Finn, who keep me busy as well as entertained. I am proud to coach my oldest son’s local football team whose results tend to make or break my Saturday night! I am also a keen amateur musician and enjoy singing along to my guitar, usually with a nice glass of red wine!

Julie Hannon, BA DipPFS, Adviser

After graduating from Glasgow Caledonian University in 2001 with a degree in Business Management, I began my financial services career with Aviva, progressing to AXA and finally joining St. James’s Place Wealth Management in 2010 at a Practice near London before joining Cruse Wealth Management.

My advice covers all aspects of wealth management but in particular tax efficient investment planning, retirement planning and inheritance tax mitigation. Like Andy, I firmly believe in building strong long term relationships with my clients and conducting regular reviews to take account of their changing circumstances. I also aim to help clients develop and build upon their financial future and goals. I am committed to continuing my professional development and I am currently working towards Chartered Financial Planner status.

Having worked and lived in England for 10 enjoyable years, the time came to return to Scotland last year with my husband Derek and our 2 children Lucy & Josh which is when I joined Cruse Wealth Management. When not spending time with family and friends, keeping fit is a real passion of mine and I enjoy running and more recently outdoor bootcamp which certainly puts me through my paces!

I also volunteer for my local rainbows pack, part of the Girl Guide Association.

Justine Waddell, Business Manager

With over 26 years’ experience working in the Financial Services Industry, I spent 15 years working at Standard Life as a Customer Services Manager. There I gained extensive experience in running large teams, while managing all aspects of customer care for our high net worth clients, as well as key accounts. I then moved to Prudential in 2008 taking on a similar role as a Team Manager working in the St. James's Place Administration Centre. This move was driven by the desire to be closer to my family and have a better work-life balance.

I was delighted to be offered the opportunity to work with Andy as his Business Manager in 2011. I am responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the office, managing the team to ensure everything runs smoothly and most importantly developing our client relationships. We have a strong focus on our client’s individual and unique needs, and I like to ensure we consistently deliver a premier service: clients are at the heart of our business. I am responsible for our marketing and I am always eager to explore new opportunities to grow and develop the business. I also organise and host our regular client events which is a really fun part of my role.

I live in Stirling with my husband Ross, and my two beautiful girls Farah and Ria.

Maria Jose Davalos Limpias, Accredited Administrator and Paraplanner

After graduating from York St John University in January 2015 with a degree in International Tourism Management I moved to Scotland for a new adventure. I started working as a travel agent customer service adviser for Thomas Cook in May 2015, I enjoyed every single minute of it until I left for maternity leave in April 2016. At the beginning of 2017 I was offered a new and exciting opportunity to join Cruse Wealth Management as an administrator. I am enjoying learning about the business, being trained on new processes as well as undertaking a variety of administration tasks.

I live with my partner Stewart, our little boy Lewis and our two cocker spaniels Ellie and Lily. In our time off work we both enjoy socialising, taking Lewis to various baby activities and exploring the surrounding countryside and parks with our pups.

Joel McDonald, Accredited Administrator

Having worked in the St. James’s Place Administration Centre for 4 years as a Customer Service Senior Associate I was delighted to be offered a position within Cruse Wealth Management as an Administrator in the latter half of 2017. This is an exciting opportunity for me to broaden my experience within St. James’s Place and Cruse Wealth Management and I am looking forward to building on my current knowledge of administrative processes and learning more about the business through my training.

I currently live in Stirling and outside of work I enjoy keeping fit by attending fitness classes during the week. My weekends are usually spent socialising with friends and family.
